Sheet Extrusion

Sheet extrusion is a continuous manufacturing process used to produce flat plastic sheets with consistent thickness and excellent surface quality. During the process, thermoplastic materials are melted and extruded through a flat die before passing through a series of cooling and calibration rollers. The finished sheet can then be cut to size or further processed, for example by thermoforming, depending on the end-use application.

Our solutions for sheet extrusion

Compovate offers a broad portfolio of compounds developed for sheet extrusion applications. Our range includes flame-retardant compounds, mineral-filled compounds and glass fibre reinforced compounds, helping manufacturers optimise processing and achieve the required mechanical and functional properties. Our materials are used in a variety of applications, including thermoformed trays, dairy packaging and ready-to-eat meal packaging.
