Glass fibre and chalk additives
Compovate’s range of purging compounds includes granules containing glass fibre and chalk as abrasive additives. Glass fibre and chalk work by physically scouring, scraping and pushing stubborn deposits out of the barrel and screw assembly. The choice between these two additives depends on the severity of the contamination and the specific machine. Glass fibre blended compounds are a powerful additive and offers superior physical scrubbing. Chalk filled compounds achieve moderate abrasion and high shear strength.
