Compounds reinforced or filled with natural fillers
Compovate offers natural filled compounds in granular form that are reinforced or filled with natural fibres. We have experience with a wide variety of natural fillers, including wood, coffee, hemp, rice, and bamboo. Our natural fibres are 100% renewable and responsibly sourced. Compovate also offers biobased masterbatches.
We prefer to use fibre sources that are by-product from an existing process or are specifically cultivated for renewable material production to minimise the carbon footprint and maximize environmental benefits. Natural fibres store CO₂ and have their own unique characteristics that can influence the properties of the final compound.
A wide selection of natural fibres and fillers
We can produce compounds using a wide range of natural fibres and fillers. Coffee and hemp are just two examples of biobased materials that we use to create compounds. We have experience working with various other biobased materials like bamboo, flax, and rice. Our portfolio is constantly growing with new biobased alternatives. Our team of experts develops and manufactures custom solutions using biobased materials. We collaborate closely with partners in the polymer industry to explore sustainable alternatives to fossil-based plastics. The unique qualities of these natural products require special attention during development and production to ensure they have the desired properties for their intended use.
Applications of biobased compounds
We produce materials tailored for plastic processing techniques such as injection moulding, extrusion, or 3D printing. We can create compounds that visibly showcase the natural filler in the finished product or tailor the material to achieve a specific colour, all custom-made according to our customers’ expectations.
