Blown Film Extrusion

Blown film extrusion is one of the most widely used processes for manufacturing plastic films. During the process, thermoplastic materials are melted and extruded through a circular die to form a continuous tube. Air is introduced into the tube, inflating the molten polymer into a thin film bubble. As the film is cooled and solidified, it is collapsed and wound into rolls, ready for further processing or conversion.

At Compovate, we help manufacturers optimize the process with high-performance thermoplastic compounds and additives. We work with you to improve efficiency and achieve the desired film properties.

Our solutions for blown film extrusion includes:

  • Mineral-filled polyethylene (PE) masterbatches for tailored mechanical properties and cost optimization.
  • Chain extenders for PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and PLA (polylactic acid), supporting improved melt strength, process stability and material performance.

Optimize your process together

With extensive knowledge of thermoplastic compounds and additives, Compovate helps manufacturers optimize processing and material performance across a wide range of applications. Our solutions support stable production, consistent quality and reliable end-product performance. Together, we identify the right compound for your specific requirements and develop a solution tailored to your application.
